The Influence of Maverannahr Traditions on the Social Life of Medieval Egypt (1250–1517)
This monograph is dedicated to the study of the Mamluk Sultanate in Egypt (1250-1517). The work analyzes its socio-political history, its relations with the Timurids, and its cultural heritage, including the architecture of the Bahri and Burji eras. Special attention is given to the role of the Turkic language in the Mamluk state and its influence on the social life of Egyptian women.
